The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Bryant circles away.
Silva tries to clinch up but Bryant circles away and keeps his distance.

Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Knees to the body from Silva.
Bryant takes a knee to the side of the body.
Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Silva scores a nice knee to the body.

Silva lands a good knee to the midsection. Bryant won't want to take too many of those.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva tries to clinch there but Bryant circles away.

Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Bryant takes an elbow to the forehead.

Silva pulls guard effortlessly.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bryant slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Silva is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bryant is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Bryant swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Bryant's guard. A big mistake from Bryant there, giving up the dominant position!

Bryant is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bryant is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Bryant is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bryant lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bryant is controlling him.

Bryant is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bryant is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Bryant breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
