The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
French throws a sloppy head kick and Filo moves out of range easily.
French's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and French duly obliges.

It looks like Lorne Filo has been cut.

French can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Filo is looking to escape.

Filo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on French, up you get!
French throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

French closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Filo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Filo stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and French has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Filo manages to get his head free but now French has transitioned to an armbar! Filo grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from French! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
