Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Mohammad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A head kick misses from Cain.
Mohammad swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cain counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mohammad works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mohammad tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mohammad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cain throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mohammad can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cain controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mohammad Mohammad was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Cain shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cain showed some decent athleticism there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cain is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mohammad defends it well.
Cain wants to control but Mohammad is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I really don't envy Cain right now.
Cain is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cain is really stuck here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mohammad cracks Cain with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cain looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mohammad finish him?

Cain is rocked!
Mohammad shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Cain takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Mohammad sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Cain bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
