Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jax Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed has chosen Motörhead - Bomber as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jake Reed enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jax Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Reed!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan lunges at Reed with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Reed's hand.
Reed lands with an uppercut that bounces Sullivan off the cage and back into range.
Reed scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Reed connects with a high kick.
Sullivan throws a combination. Reed tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Jake Reed has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sullivan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A punch combination from Reed misses.
Reed looks for the body kick but Sullivan saw that one coming.
Reed throws a head kick but Sullivan moves out of range.
Reed throws a right and a left that Sullivan avoids nicely.
Reed is looking to land body kicks.
Reed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sullivan moves out of range as Reed throws a body kick.
Nice shot lands for Reed.
Sullivan walks forward, straight into a front kick from Reed.

Sullivan closes the distance and pushes Reed back into the cage.
Sullivan has Reed pushed against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sullivan.
Sullivan manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Sullivan gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Sullivan for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jax Sullivan.
Reed misses with a head kick.
Reed lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Reed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Reed throws a right hand that Sullivan ducks under and follows up with a left that Sullivan also avoids with ease.

Reed drops Sullivan with a left and a right! Oh, Sullivan is hurt - Reed dives into side control looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Reed tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sullivan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reed wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sullivan gets back to half guard.
Reed working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Sullivan's thigh. Sullivan counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Reed slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jake Reed has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sullivan misses with a head kick.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reed thuds a left hand into Sullivan's body.

Reed throws a left that rocks Sullivan and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Reed dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Sullivan regain composure!


It looks like Jax Sullivan has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sullivan is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reed is looking to take a break and control but Sullivan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Reed dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Sullivan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Reed loads up on a big right hand but Sullivan slips the punch.
Sullivan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reed.
Good standup being displayed there by Reed as he connects with a hook.
Jake Reed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reed scores with a body shot.
Sullivan looks to throw the jab but Reed is out of range.
Reed with a nice cross.
Sullivan ducks under a wild hook from Reed.
Reed is looking to land body kicks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reed misses with a head kick.
Reed fails to land with a series of punches.
Reed throws a sloppy head kick and Sullivan moves out of range easily.

Jake Reed seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Reed throws a head kick but Sullivan moves out of range.
Sullivan takes one to the chin there.
Reed connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Reed tries to bum rush Sullivan with a series of wild strikes but Sullivan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sullivan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Reed is out of range.
Reed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sullivan takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Reed scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


Sullivan is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sullivan blocks a jab.
Oh Sullivan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sullivan works the jab nicely.
Sullivan seems to have got his legs back now.
Reed dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Sullivan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sullivan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reed.
Sullivan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reed throws out the jab.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reed lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nice uppercut there from Reed.
Good shot there by Reed.
Reed lands with a nice body punch.

A big head kick from Reed and Sullivan is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Sullivan pulls Reed in to control the position.
Reed slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jax Sullivan just wasn't active enough.
Some wild striking there from Reed.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reed. Sullivan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reed scores with a sloppy right hand. Sullivan should have avoided that one.
Reed scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Sullivan misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reed connects with a right that clearly hurt Sullivan. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Reed proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Sullivan collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Jake Reed seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
