Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michail Babynin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Project Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Project Fighter looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michail Babynin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Project Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Babynin looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Fighter looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Fighter keeping moving, preventing Babynin from controlling successfully.

Babynin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Babynin tries to free his leg and advance position but Fighter is retaining full guard.

Babynin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Babynin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fighter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Fighter working for a triangle but Babynin defends it easily.

Babynin connects with a couple of short punches.

Fighter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Babynin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Babynin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Babynin won't allow Fighter to sweep him here.

Fighter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Babynin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Babynin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Project Fighter dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Babynin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Babynin postures up and lands a big shot to Fighter's brow.

Fighter has his foot on Babynin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Babynin works his way back into a safe position though.

Babynin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Babynin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fighter is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Babynin has his hands clasped together but Fighter extends and breaks Babynin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Fighter.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Project Fighter!
