The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Djoser Rei has been cut.
Sigurdsson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sigurdsson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rei slips a jab from Sigurdsson.
Rei looks to score with a jab to the body but Sigurdsson is just out of range.
Rei thuds his shin into the meat of Sigurdsson's side.

and Rei counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A telegraphed right hand from Sigurdsson misses the target.
Rei slips a straight right by Sigurdsson.
A swing and a miss from Sigurdsson.
Rei lands a body shot.
Rei throws a front kick that sends Sigurdsson stumbling back into the cage.
Frank Sigurdsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Frank Sigurdsson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rei lands a nice hook to Sigurdsson's body. Sigurdsson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Rei is looking to wear down Sigurdsson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Rei tries to land a front kick but Sigurdsson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rei ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That kick from Rei tenderised Sigurdsson's leg. Sigurdsson is trying to keep his angry face on.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rei. That's going to slow Sigurdsson down.
Rei throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Rei throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

An inside leg kick lands from Rei.
Rei lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sigurdsson will feel that in the morning.
Sigurdsson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rei pounces like a tiger and cracks Sigurdsson with a vicious hook! Sigurdsson is down but not out! Rei follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A relieved looking Djoser Rei thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
