Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Big Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawajiri has chosen Water Pow as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tatsuya Kawajiri was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tatsuya Kawajiri!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri tries a head kick but it misses.
Kawajiri pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kawajiri shoots in and bounces Hurt off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Hurt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kawajiri is controlling him.
Kawajiri in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hurt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kawajiri.
Kawajiri distracts Hurt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hurt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kawajiri content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hurt has locked up a guillotine! Hurt's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kawajiri is holding on here and Hurt must be using up a lot of energy. Kawajiri has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hurt gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Big Hurt!
Big Hurt really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that ANABOLIC Nutrition 160Q and LAUNDRY 85% logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
