Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kogata Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Sabaton- Metal machine as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kogata Munoz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Dan Smith!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Munoz, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Munoz against the cage but Munoz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Munoz pinned against the cage. Munoz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Munoz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kogata Munoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Smith.

Munoz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Smith thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Munoz is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Smith 's hooks.
Munoz is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Smith throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Smith won't let Munoz get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Munoz suckers Smith into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Munoz is now in Smith's guard!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A close second round but Dan Smith will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Smith is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Munoz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Munoz shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

You get the feeling that Munoz really doesn't like being in this position too much.
