The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Kleinschmidt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Silva scores with the left hand. Kleinschmidt knows he should have avoided that one.

Bigfoot Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kleinschmidt.
Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kleinschmidt.
Kleinschmidt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
Silva avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Silva drops Kleinschmidt with a beautiful combination! Kleinschmidt stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Silva is looking for the KO!

Kleinschmidt throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.
Kleinschmidt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kleinschmidt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kleinschmidt.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Kleinschmidt does a little dance to reset his feet.

Silva lands a left and a right that send Kleinschmidt crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kleinschmidt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kleinschmidt off to one side.

Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kleinschmidt.
A punch lands to the side of Silva 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Silva throws a shot from downtown. Kleinschmidt moves away and avoids it.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kleinschmidt is breathing heavily.
Silva drops Kleinschmidt with a huge uppercut! Kleinschmidt drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Silva is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
