Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaarlo Vihtala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vihtala comes to the cage accompanied by Pohjois-Karjala. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simo Silakka!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vihtala takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Vihtala thows a body shot but no joy.
Silakka cracks the inside of Vihtala's front leg.
Silakka throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vihtala throws a lazy right hand but Silakka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vihtala throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Silakka. Vihtala shrugs it off though.
Silakka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Silakka fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vihtala has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Silakka misses with a few strikes there.
Silakka tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Vihtala checks a leg kick nicely.
Silakka throws a leg kick that is checked
and Vihtala counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vihtala keeps Silakka at a distance using the push kick.
Vihtala keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Silakka.
Silakka lands a nice looking body kick.
Simo Silakka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vihtala lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silakka's sensitive parts.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A slapping body kick lands there for Silakka.
Silakka throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Silakka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab lands there for Silakka.
Silakka misses with a series of wild punches.
Silakka throws a half hearted mid kick.
Silakka pivots, looking for a leg kick but Vihtala is out of range and Silakka settles back down.
Silakka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vihtala.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Vihtala checks a leg kick.
Vihtala sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A jab from Vihtala misses.
Vihtala lands with a good body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silakka throws a solid leg kick but Vihtala takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Silakka.
Vihtala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silakka drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Simo Silakka has been cut.
Vihtala chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silakka can pounce on him.
Silakka scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Silakka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vihtala tries a low kick but Silakka avoids it.
Vihtala throws a head kick but Silakka moves out of range.
Silakka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jab, jab by Vihtala - just one landing.
A low kick from Silakka misses
and Vihtala counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Silakka has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kaarlo Vihtala!
