Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Ass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Silvera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silvera is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wedlock. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Ass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Joey Silvera!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvera avoids the head kick by Ass.
Silvera connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ass. Ass circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ass misses with a wild body shot.
Ass misses with a double jab.
Silvera throws a leg kick that misses.
Silvera connects with an inside leg kick.
Silvera staying out of range there.
Ass looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silvera is fending him off so far but Ass persists. Nope, Silvera circles away and we're back to standing.
Silvera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ass throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silvera.
Silvera dodges the punch combination from Ass.
Ass misses with a leg kick
and Silvera counters with an inside leg kick.
Ass throws a head kick that misses
and Silvera counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ass. Silvera does a little dance to reset his feet.

Ass on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ass fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Silvera checks it well.
Ass fails to land the takedown.
A punch lands to the side of Silvera 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Silvera has Ass up against the cage in a clinch.
Silvera lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ass backwards.
Silvera misses with a short punch on the inside.

Ass is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Silvera is defending well.

Ass tries to circle away but Silvera has him pinned against the cage.

Ass breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ass throws a lazy uppercut
and Silvera counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Ass swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Silvera darts in and clinches Ass up against the cage.

Silvera throws an elbow but it misses.
Silvera has a couple of punches blocked by Ass.
Silvera lands an elbow inside that Ass shrugs off.


It looks like Jack Ass has been cut.
A nice left hand lands by Silvera.

Ass wants to stall.
Silvera just leaning against Ass, taking a breather.
Silvera working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Ass wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ass is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Silvera is defending well.
Ass is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Silvera is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Silvera's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A punch combination from Ass misses.
Silvera lands with an overhand left.
Ass rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silvera moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silvera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ass moves away.

Ass shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ass was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ass sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Silvera is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Silvera tries to buck Ass off but Ass is having none of it.

Ass laying and praying for a moment but Silvera takes advantage and regains half guard.
Ass is trying to control the action in half guard but Silvera is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Silvera is trying to stand up here but Ass is controlling him well.
Ass thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silvera's head.
Ass throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Silvera to regain full guard.

Ass is working Silvera over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ass looking to sit in guard and control but Silvera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ass wants to sweep but no luck.

Ass is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ass pulls Silvera in close to prevent any damage.
Ass tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Silvera would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack Ass wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Joey Silvera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
