Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Heimo Vesa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kogata Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vesa scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Vesa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Munoz sprawls well. Munoz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vesa gets slowly back to his feet.
Vesa throws a good cross that connects.
Vesa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Munoz defends it nicely.
Munoz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Heimo Vesa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vesa scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vesa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Munoz defends well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Munoz connects with a nice short shot to Vesa's temple.

Munoz is taking a breather. Vesa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Kogata Munoz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Vesa closes the distance and clinches up with Munoz, looking for a takedown. Vesa pushes Munoz against the cage but Munoz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Munoz around the waist but Munoz pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Munoz is the winner by TKO! Munoz jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kogata Munoz!

A very excited looking Kogata Munoz made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
