Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Draiman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unoriginal Name (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Draiman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Unoriginal Name!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Name as Draiman shoots in.
Draiman moves out of range of the strikes.
Draiman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Name rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Draiman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Name uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Draiman has time to react.
Name misses with a double jab

and Draiman moves into the clinch.

Name's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Draiman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Name napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Name avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Draiman.

Draiman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Name knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Name really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Draiman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Draiman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Name is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


No joy there for Name, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Name scores with a one two! Draiman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Name throws a right hand that Draiman ducks under and follows up with a left that Draiman also avoids with ease.
A combination from Name does no damage.
Name misses with a looping left.
Name misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Name misses with a double jab.
Name misses with a head kick.
Draiman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Draiman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Name. Name obviously looking to wear him down.
Name is looking to land body kicks.
Name scoring well with a low kick there.
Draiman fails with a takedown attempt.
That kick from Name tenderised Draiman's leg. Draiman is trying to keep his angry face on.

Name looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Draiman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Draiman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Draiman tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Draiman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Name keeps working.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Draiman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Name has escaped the position, nice work there.

Draiman takes a little break here. Name wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Draiman wants to stand but Name is controlling his arm.
The referee asks Draiman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Draiman prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Carl Draiman just wasn't active enough.
Name misses with the combination.

Name tries a low kick but Draiman avoids it.
Draiman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Name as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Draiman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Draiman shoots in but no luck this time.
Name misses with a hook. Draiman ducked under it nicely.
Draiman dodges the punch combination from Name.
Name will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Name misses with a double jab.
Draiman checks a low kick from Name.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Draiman moves in looking to clinch but Name pushes him off.
Draiman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Draiman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Draiman showed some decent athleticism there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carl Draiman will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Name fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Draiman checks it well.
Name is looking to score with low kicks.
Name lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Draiman circles away quickly and effectively.
Unoriginal Name seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Name fails to land with a series of punches.
Draiman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Name avoids it really well and circles away.
Name tried to score with a low kick but Draiman checks it.
Name tries a head kick but it misses.
Name cracks the inside of Draiman's front leg.
Name throws a looping overhand right but Draiman ducks down to avoid it.
Carl Draiman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Draiman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Name.
Name lands with a thumping leg kick.
Name swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Unoriginal Name is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Draiman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Name can do anything to dispel that myth.
Draiman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Name won't allow Draiman to pass to mount.
Draiman working Name over with strikes.
Draiman is looking to advance position but Name won't allow it.
Draiman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Draiman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Name does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Draiman slips a nice elbow through Name's hands, connecting with Name's forehead.
Draiman tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Name.
Draiman moves nicely into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Draiman tries for a kimura but Name is defending well.
Unoriginal Name has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Draiman trying to control the action but Name is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Draiman in the domination position with Name hanging on.

Draiman has hold of Name's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Name tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Draiman cranks the arm and Name screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Name, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Carl Draiman!
A very excited looking Carl Draiman made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
