Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrance Gerltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lawrance Gerltz!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerltz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Jim Williams has been cut.

Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Williams looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gerltz wants to stand and escape but Williams is having none of it.

Williams shoots for a double leg takedown but Gerltz sprawls well. He's pushed Williams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gerltz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.

Gerltz lands a left and a right that send Williams crashing to the mat, dazed. Gerltz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gerltz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Williams paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gerltz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Williams's calf.
Gerltz moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Williams keeps the fight on the outside.
Gerltz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Gerltz persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Williams takes a knee to the side of the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gerltz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Williams swats away the attempt to clinch by Gerltz.

Williams shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gerltz napping and manages to drive through into side control!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lawrance Gerltz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Williams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gerltz sprawls well initially but Williams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Williams is defended easily by Gerltz.
Lawrance Gerltz seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Williams is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gerltz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gerltz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Williams has just dragged him back down to the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A lull in the action here as Williams stalls from top position.
Gerltz is looking to get back to his feet here but Williams is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gerltz's back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Gerltz, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Gerltz against the cage but Gerltz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gerltz!

Gerltz lands a big head kick that sends Williams tumbling to the mat! Gerltz takes a step backwards and waves Williams back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Williams is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams switches off momentarily and Gerltz cracks him with a monster right hand! Williams topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Gerltz dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Gerltz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lawrance Gerltz!
A relieved looking Lawrance Gerltz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
