The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thump rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hhhhhhhhh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hhhhhhhhh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thump's waist but Thump gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hhhhhhhhh off to one side.

Hhhhhhhhh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Thump is trying to improve his position.
Hhhhhhhhh trying to control the action but Thump is working from the bottom.

Hhhhhhhhh goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thump has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hhhhhhhhh but great work by Thump.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thump has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Thump's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
