PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyril Yamoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Vorderman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yamoth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman - Metallica. Cyril Yamoth had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cyril Yamoth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Duncan Vorderman!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vorderman tries to clinch there but Yamoth circles away.
Vorderman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Yamoth.

Yamoth throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vorderman was covering up waiting for the punch and Yamoth finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Vorderman is looking to stand back up but Yamoth counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Vorderman.

Yamoth is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Vorderman pushes Yamoth off looking to stand but Yamoth dives back in and keeps control.

Yamoth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Yamoth is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vorderman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yamoth.
Vorderman wants to get back to his feet.

Yamoth controlling the pace.
Ground and pound from Yamoth.
Vorderman has hold of Yamoth's hands but Yamoth slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yamoth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yamoth connects with a nice short shot to Vorderman's temple.
Yamoth working over Vorderman with some ground and pound. Vorderman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Vorderman wants to get back to his feet.
Yamoth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vorderman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Yamoth looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vorderman is trying to stand.

Yamoth is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vorderman has managed to free his arm - good work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vorderman is trying to stand up here but Yamoth is controlling him well.

Vorderman gets caught napping as Yamoth dives in and scores a takedown. Vorderman manages to retain guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vorderman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yamoth winds up and cracks Vorderman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Vorderman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yamoth scores with a couple of nice shots.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Yamoth maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Vorderman could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Yamoth has cracked it and Vorderman is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Yamoth!
