The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wild lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wild will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Wild lunges at Mironov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mironov's hand.
Mironov throws a looping overhand right but Wild ducks down to avoid it.
Wild tries to clinch but Mironov moves out of range.
Mironov ducks under a wild hook from Wild.

Mironov avoids the head kick by Wild.
Mironov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mironov just misses with a punch to the body.
Wild misses with a wild body shot.
Wild uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mironov.
Wild doesn't manage to clinch there - Mironov circles away.

Mironov gets a takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wild can do anything to dispel that myth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wild trying to hold on to Mironov's head to control him but Mironov postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
