Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between A W Rootbeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Samba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rootbeer is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Samba defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Samba manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rootbeer's guard. Nice work there by Samba.

Rootbeer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Samba is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rootbeer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Samba's back instead.

Rootbeer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Samba, pushing him back against the cage.

Samba throws a series of punches but Rootbeer moves out of range.
Samba shoots for a takedown but Rootbeer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Samba throws a right and a left that both miss.
Samba slips a straight right by Rootbeer.

Rootbeer scores with a jab. Samba acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Rootbeer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Samba paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Samba goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Rootbeer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Rootbeer working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Samba looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Rootbeer! Submission of the night perhaps?
