The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puempel gets caught flat footed, as Whales shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Puempel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whales can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Puempel has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Whales should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Puempel has tightened it up now! Whales should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
