The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowles fails with a takedown attempt.
Bowles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bulbury tries to avoid it but Bowles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bulbury to the ground. Bulbury escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bowles dives in and grabs Bulbury's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bulbury pushes down on Bowles's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Bowles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bowles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bowles is trying to trip Bulbury. He has hold of a leg but Bulbury is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bowles persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Bowles drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bowles seems to have locked his on tight now - Bulbury screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bowles, as he picks up the win!
