Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trey Damons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damons comes to the cage accompanied by All the Above. Shota has chosen Must be the Feeling as his entrance music. Adrian Shota will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trey Damons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adrian Shota!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shota throws a big shot that misses.
Damons keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good work by Damons as he checks the leg kick.

Damons has taken the fight to the clinch.

Damons pulls guard effortlessly.
Damons has a closed guard, preventing Shota from standing up.

Damons working for a triangle but Shota defends it easily.

Damons has his foot on Shota's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shota works his way back into a safe position though.

Damons throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Damons looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shota advances position into side control!
Shota wants to stand but Damons is controlling his arm.

Shota swings around for an armbar but Damons sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Shota's guard.
Shota looking for a sweep. Not yet Shota, not yet.
Shota keeping moving, preventing Damons from controlling successfully.
Shota looking to hit a scissor sweep but Damons is one step ahead there.
Damons trying to control the position from guard on top but Shota is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Shota is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Damons is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shota keeping moving, preventing Damons from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Trey Damons wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Shota throws a hook but Damons avoids it easily.
Shota throws out a loose jab but Damons uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Good shot there by Shota.
Shota displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Damons.
Shota throws a hook but Damons blocks it.
Shota misses with a low kick.
Adrian Shota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Damons is looking to clinch but Shota is avoiding it.
Shota throws a nice looking combination but Damons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Shota with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Shota misses with an uppercut.
Shota is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Damons closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shota circles away.
Damons is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shota bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Damons's head backwards.

Shota gets a double leg takedown into Damons's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Damons has a closed guard, preventing Shota from standing up.
Shota advances to half guard.
Shota wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adrian Shota dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Shota drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Damons right on the button. Damons goes down! Shota follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Shota gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adrian Shota!
Our winner, Adrian Shota, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
