The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacks darts in and clinches Malu up against the cage.
Malu tries for a takedown but Jacks manages to get underhooks.
Jacks stalling against the cage.
Jacks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Malu tries to sprawl but Jacks drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jacks is stalling here. Malu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jacks seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Malu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Jacks looks to move to half guard but instead Malu has passed into mount! Damn!
Jacks tries to reverse the position but Malu maintains control.

Malu looking to secure an arm triangle but Jacks defends it well.
Jacks tries to hold on but Malu pushes him away.
Jacks is trying to stand but he's just given Malu his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malu gets his hands free as Jacks looks to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jacks rolls, trying to escape but Malu keeps control of the position.
Jacks is working hard here to advance position.
Malu sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Jacks taps out!
