Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mieto is looking to slow Jim down with leg kicks.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jim looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mieto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Juha Mieto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jim tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mieto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Jim counters with a two punch combo.
Jim looks to land a right hand but Mieto moved out of range.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jim crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mieto - the referee stops the clock and Jim gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mieto. Jim manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Mieto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jim throws a sloppy head kick and Mieto moves out of range easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Slim Jim will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mieto takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jim catches Mieto with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jim bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mieto lands a head kick. Jim smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jim on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mieto. Mieto obviously looking to wear him down.

Jim tries to clinch but Mieto moves away
and Mieto counters with a slapping leg kick.
Mieto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jim paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jim rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mieto moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
