Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson keeps the fight on the outside.
Mike Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thiesman looks for a takedown but Tyson sprawls well.
Tyson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tyson avoids the head kick by Thiesman.
No luck for Thiesman with that takedown attempt.

Tyson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thiesman, pushing him back against the cage.
Thiesman is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Thiesman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thiesman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Thiesman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tyson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Thiesman has Tyson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tyson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Thiesman is pressed up against the cage. Tyson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thiesman down to the mat. Thiesman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tyson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thiesman under the eye.

Tyson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Tyson is looking to break free of the clinch but Thiesman has double underhooks.

Thiesman fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Thiesman is breathing heavily.
Tyson tries to pull guard but Thiesman forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Tyson gets through Thiesman's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Tyson wants to stand and escape but Thiesman is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thiesman is looking to stand up but Tyson won't let him.

Tyson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thiesman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thiesman stands and steps away. Tyson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Thiesman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tyson throws an off balance right hand

and Thiesman counters by clinching up.
Tyson is pressed up against the cage. Thiesman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tyson down to the mat. Tyson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tyson closes the distance and pushes Thiesman back into the cage.
Tyson can't get the takedown.
Tyson lands with a short shot to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tyson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Tyson successfully pulls guard.

Tyson has his foot on Thiesman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thiesman works his way back into a safe position though.
Thiesman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Tyson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thiesman stands and throws Tyson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Tyson moves in looking to clinch but Thiesman pushes him off.

Thiesman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tyson avoids it really well and circles away.

Thiesman is trying to control. Tyson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Tyson is looking for a sweep. Thiesman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Thiesman throwing shots but Tyson is blocking nicely.

Thiesman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Thiesman.
I think Tyson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
