Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Vasilyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and david torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vasilyev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in torres's guard.
torres wants to stand up but Vasilyev is controlling him.
torres keeping moving, preventing Vasilyev from controlling successfully.
Vasilyev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vasilyev stops torres from standing up.

Vasilyev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but torres manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vasilyev has torres in his guard.
torres wants to control from the top but Vasilyev keeps moving.
torres wants to stand but Vasilyev has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vasilyev is looking to sinch up a triangle. torres throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Vasilyev's body to avoid the submission. Vasilyev has instead reached around torres's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Vasilyev arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
