Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Bera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Jane!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jane throws a front kick aimed at Bera's knee but Bera avoids it well.
Jane tries to clinch there but Bera circles away.
Jane closes the distance but Bera moves to the side
and Bera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Bera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jane's guard.
Bera makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jane is controlling Bera's posture.
Bera looking to pass the guard.
Bera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jane is trying to keep Bera in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bera stands and throws Jane's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bera scoring with punches and elbows.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bera asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bera throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jane is looking for a sweep.
Bera cracks Jane with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Jane is not content to let Bera control the position.
Jane is pushing Bera's head away, looking to escape. Bera manages to hold on to the position though.

Bera tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bera has an Americana. Jane didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bera is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bera hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Matt Bera!
Matt Bera really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that ****160Q Energy for $150**** logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
