Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Mcdermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Bartlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mcdermott might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Broken Wings. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdermott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bartlett tries to avoid it but Mcdermott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bartlett to the ground. Bartlett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bartlett throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bartlett throws a lazy uppercut
and Mcdermott counters with a left and a right that stings Bartlett.
Bartlett throws a looping overhand right but Mcdermott ducks down to avoid it.
Bartlett rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mcdermott counters with a nice body kick.
Bartlett throws a hook but Mcdermott blocks it.
Bartlett lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Mcdermott closes the distance and clinches up with Bartlett, looking for a takedown. Mcdermott pushes Bartlett against the cage but Bartlett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bartlett throws the left hand but Mcdermott avoids the punch easily.
The fighters circling - Bartlett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bartlett looks to score with a jab to the body but Mcdermott is just out of range.
Bartlett throws a right hand that misses
and Mcdermott counters with an outside leg kick.

and Bartlett takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bartlett throws the left hand but Mcdermott avoids the punch easily.

and Mcdermott counters with a nice uppercut.

and Mcdermott counters with a straight right hand.
Bartlett throws a nice looking combination but Mcdermott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bartlett moves into the clinch successfully.
Mcdermott tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bartlett prevents the takedown attempt.
Bartlett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mcdermott connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bartlett, as that shot connected.
Mcdermott ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bartlett swings widly with a right hand
and Mcdermott counters with a series of strikes. Bartlett will be more careful next time no doubt.
Mcdermott shoots in and drives through. Bartlett sprawls well.
Bartlett lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mcdermott backs up against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Mcdermott counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bartlett misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Mcdermott to counter with a crisp jab.

and Mcdermott counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mcdermott walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bartlett checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Mcdermott counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A combination from Bartlett does no damage.
Mcdermott closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bartlett wants to get back to his feet.
Bartlett looks winded!
Bartlett tries to roll over but Mcdermott keeps him under control.

Mcdermott is looking for a kimura but Bartlett is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mcdermott to get the leverage.

Mcdermott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bartlett sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bartlett is looking for a sweep. Mcdermott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oooh a lovely combination from Bartlett sends Mcdermott down but not out. Bartlett dives into side control looking to finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bartlett wants to stand but Mcdermott has his arm trapped.
Oh Mcdermott is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bartlett is in a bad position with Mcdermott working for a choke. Bartlett manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Mcdermott is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bartlett wants to control from the top but Mcdermott keeps moving.

Mcdermott has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bartlett should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mcdermott has tightened it up now! Bartlett should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
