Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jaaron Cent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osamu Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaaron Cent has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaaron Cent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Osamu Kawajiri!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri fails to land the takedown.
Kawajiri moves in looking to clinch but Cent pushes him off.
Kawajiri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kawajiri has a takedown stuffed.
Kawajiri shoots for a double leg takedown but Cent sprawls well. He's pushed Kawajiri's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jaaron Cent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osamu Kawajiri.

Kawajiri moves into range and clinches up with Cent.

Cent jumps guard.
Cent is trying to control the position but Kawajiri postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kawajiri stands and steps away. Cent gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cent fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kawajiri looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Cent counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cent.

Kawajiri wants to sweep here but Cent controlling him for the moment.
Kawajiri wants to stand up but Cent is controlling him.
Kawajiri looks gassed!
Cent sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kawajiri's guard.
Cent looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Cent is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kawajiri has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cent is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cent is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Kawajiri is in real trouble.
Cent could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cent has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kawajiri's body.
Kawajiri is in bad spot here.
Kawajiri manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cent's guard. Nice work there by Kawajiri.
Kawajiri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kawajiri has gone for a leg lock! Cent slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kawajiri's guard.
Cent is looking to advance position but Kawajiri has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Cent is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaaron Cent dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kawajiri tries for a takedown but Cent circles away easily

and Cent counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Cent is looking for a kimura here.
Cent trying to mount his opponent but Kawajiri defends it.
Kawajiri wants to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cent is tying to control. Kawajiri wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kawajiri is trying to get back to full guard.
Cent trying to pass the guard but Kawajiri defending well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kawajiri wants to get back to full guard but Cent has passed into side control.
Cent moves to take his opponent's back.
Kawajiri is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Kawajiri is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Cent is trying to stick to Kawajiri's back but Kawajiri is turning into Cent. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cent's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kawajiri.
Kawajiri tries to stand but Cent is controlling from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cent not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaaron Cent dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Kawajiri lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cent's sensitive parts.
Cent shoots and misses
and Kawajiri counters with a nice body shot.
Cent misses with the combination.
Kawajiri throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kawajiri goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Cent scores with a takedown into Kawajiri's guard.
Kawajiri is striking from the bottom but Cent uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Cent is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kawajiri!

Cent takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Kawajiri takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kawajiri is keeping busy.

Kawajiri staying busy and making it hard for Cent to control.

Cent keeps control of the position as Kawajiri tries to break free.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Kawajiri won't enjoy being in this position. Cent looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Kawajiri is tapping - it's over boys! Cent picks up the submission victory!
