Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ding Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukas Nicitel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ding Dong had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ding Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lukas Nicitel!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicitel looks to land a combination but Dong avoids it well.
Nicitel moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dong closes the distance and clinches up with Nicitel, looking for a takedown. Dong pushes Nicitel against the ropes but Nicitel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dong fails to land the takedown.
Dong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nicitel swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ding Dong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dong slips a straight right by Nicitel.
Nicitel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nicitel misses with a straight right.

Dong feints and as Nicitel raises his hands in defense, Dong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dong trying to control the position from guard on top but Nicitel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nicitel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dong gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nicitel tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Nicitel has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nicitel.

Dong trying to control the position but Nicitel is working away.

Dong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nicitel, who protects the arm well.
Dong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nicitel keeps working.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nicitel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dong is breathing heavily.
Nicitel is looking for a sweep.
Nicitel can't do much from the bottom here.
Dong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nicitel keeps working.
Nicitel tries to improve position but can't.

Dong working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nicitel tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dong tries for a kimura but Nicitel is defending well.
Dong tries to stand but Nicitel is controlling his head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dong has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Nicitel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nicitel throws a jab when Dong was well out of range.

Dong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nicitel.
Nicitel sizes up Dong with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nicitel connects with a nice looking jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Nicitel throws a right hand that Dong ducks under and follows up with a left that Dong also avoids with ease.
Lukas Nicitel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nicitel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A slow jab from Nicitel misses its intended target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nicitel throws a one two combo.
Nicitel digs a good hook to Dong's body.
Lukas Nicitel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicitel lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Dong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nicitel moves away.
Nicitel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dong.
Nicitel throws a wild body kick that Dong sees coming a mile off.
The fighters circling - Nicitel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nicitel pinned against the cage. Nicitel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nicitel as he avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nicitel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Nicitel drops Dong with a right and a left! Nicitel comes rushing in but Dong regains his composure and manages to keep Nicitel in guard.


Dong is rocked!


It looks like Ding Dong has been cut.

Nicitel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dong keeping full guard, as Nicitel tries to pass.

Dong working for a triangle but Nicitel defends it easily.
Nicitel wants to pass the guard but Dong is keeping the position.
Nicitel distracts Dong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Nicitel stays in close to Dong's body and controls the position.

Nicitel is looking to work some ground and pound but Dong has wrist control.
Nicitel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dong fails with a takedown attempt.
Dong takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ding Dong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nicitel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Nicitel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dong takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A telegraphed right hand from Nicitel misses the target.
Nicitel might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Nicitel throws a front kick that sends Dong stumbling back into the ropes.
Dong takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Nicitel looks to land a left hand but Dong moved out of range nicely.
Nicitel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dong avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nicitel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dong on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nicitel throws a combination. Dong tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown by Dong or perhaps it was just good defense by Nicitel which made him look bad.
Nicitel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nicitel misses with a hook.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nicitel throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Dong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nicitel but Nicitel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukas Nicitel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Ding Dong's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nicitel, as that shot connected.
Nicitel lands a really nice looking cross but Dong seems unphased.

Nicitel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Nicitel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Nicitel stuns Dong with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nicitel throws a series of punches but Dong moves out of range.
Nicitel looks to score with a jab to the body but Dong is just out of range.
Nicitel misses with a looping right.

Dong fails with a takedown attempt.
Nicitel throws a hook to the side of Dong's head but Dong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Dong takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nicitel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dong shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dong showed some decent athleticism there.
Nicitel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dong passes to side control.

Dong tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lukas Nicitel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Nicitel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
