Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon leaves Robinson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dixon throws a series of strikes that have Robinson backpedaling.

Dixon connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dixon throws a nice looking combination but Robinson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Robinson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dixon stalks Robinson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Robinson's face. Robinson staggers backwards, shaken.
Robinson connects with a crisp jab.
Robinson connects with a leg kick. Dixon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A head kick from Dixon lands but Robinson takes it in his stride.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dixon is trying to control the action in half guard but Robinson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dixon connects with a nice short shot to Robinson's temple.

Dixon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Robinson to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dixon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Robinson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
