Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michaud Korrs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michaud Korrs will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michaud Korrs!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korrs fails with the takedown.

Korrs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Belcher tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Korrs was well out of range. Poor timing from Belcher.
Korrs avoids a kick to the body.
Belcher looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Belcher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Korrs.

Korrs gets a clinch.

Belcher manages to break the clinch.
Korrs on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Korrs looks to clinch
and Belcher connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Belcher counters by moving into the clinch.

Korrs tries to bum rush Belcher with a series of wild strikes but Belcher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Belcher holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Belcher blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Michaud Korrs's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Korrs looks for a takedown but Belcher sprawls well.
Belcher throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Belcher tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Korrs is able to avoid easily.
Korrs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Belcher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Korrs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Belcher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Belcher drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belcher jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Belcher is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bob Belcher.

Korrs is trying to break the clinch but Belcher has him pressed against the cage.

Korrs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Korrs can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Belcher controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belcher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Belcher decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Korrs, up you get!

Korrs throws a solid leg kick but Belcher takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Korrs.

Belcher pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Korrs back to the cage. Belcher follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Korrs misses with a low kick as Belcher jumps back.
Belcher swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Korrs.

Well Belcher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
