Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Helio James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think James might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Limp Bizkit Eat You Alive. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Helio James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Wise!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James digs a good hook to Wise's body.
Wise wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
James thows a body shot but no joy.
Wise takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A jab from James misses.
James throws a body punch but Wise moves out of range.
James misses with a body kick.
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Wise swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wise throws a good cross that connects.
Wise looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wise jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from James.
Wise looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wise moves away.
James fails with the takedown

Dennis Wise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wise. James shrugs it off though.
James throws a wild body kick that Wise sees coming a mile off.
James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
James throws an overhand right that lands on Wise's shoulder, as Wise tries to avoid the shot.

Excellent takedown into side control there by James.
Wise manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
James wants to take a breather but Wise is having none of it.
Wise is controlling James's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Wise is trying to get back to full guard.

James is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wise sees it coming and defends easily.
Wise is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

James looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James prevents Wise from improving his position.
James is keen to just control but Wise is a slippery customer.
Wise tries to roll over but James keeps him under control.
Wise has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. James is working away from the top position though.

Wise is trying to get back to full guard.
James not landing any meaningful shots this time.

James seems to be working for a kimura but Wise defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wise wants to control but James is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wise bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wise is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dennis Wise will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Wise tries to clinch but James is having none of it.
James on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
James takes a swing at Wise's ribcage but misses.

Wise will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
James is looking to wear down Wise with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
James lands a leg kick that knocks Wise off balance momentarily.
Wise doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
James takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wise does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
James misses with a hook. Wise ducked under it nicely.
Wise paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Wise fakes a jab and throws a low kick but James checks it well.
A punch lands to the side of James 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wise tries to clinch but James moves out of range.
Wise lands a leg kick that knocks James off balance momentarily.
Dennis Wise is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That kick from Wise tenderised James's leg. James is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wise connects with a body shot.
Wise swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wise lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wise sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wise pulls out of a head kick attempt.
James finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Wise scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
James lands with a kick to the ribs.

so James counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wise trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.

Wise's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dennis Wise was stalling too much, according to the referee.

James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wise throws a leg kick but James sees it coming and moves out of range.

Wise connects with a solid leg kick.

and Wise makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dennis Wise seems to be getting the better of the standup.
James lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wise at a distance.
James takes a swing at Wise's ribcage but misses.
James throws the kick towards the body but Wise avoids it.
James tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Wise throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Wise tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wise lands a right hand that snaps the head of James backwards.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Wise in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Dennis Wise showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dennis Wise has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Wise lands a front kick.
Wise throws a jab when James was well out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Wise cracks James with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Helio James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

James moves out of range of the strikes.
Wise uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before James has time to react.
James checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Wise throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wise darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
James misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wise connects with a leg kick. James looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wise's guard.
James won't allow Wise to sweep him here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Wise fakes a jab and throws a low kick but James checks it well.

James shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

I've got Wise winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
