Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brewster B (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ritchie Swiper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swiper has chosen High Hopes as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Brewster B!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Ritchie Swiper!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
B throws a leg kick but Swiper sees it coming and checks it nicely.
B throws a series of punches but Swiper avoids them all with ease.
B stuffs the takedown.
B keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Swiper checks a leg kick.
B throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Swiper.

Swiper scores a takedown into full mount!
B tries to lock up and control but Swiper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Swiper swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and B is now in Swiper's guard. A big mistake from Swiper there, giving up the dominant position!
B wants to control from the top but Swiper keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Swiper had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. B is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Swiper Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take B's back instead.

B is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Swiper doesn't have the hooks in and B manages to turn into his guard.

Swiper looking for submissions from the bottom but instead B passes into side control.

B decides to stand back up.
B will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
B keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
B misses with a shot to the body

and Swiper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in B's guard.
B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Swiper throws and elbow that misses. B uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Swiper's guard. Nice move by B!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Swiper wants to sweep but no luck.
B missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Swiper is looking for a triangle but B pushes his legs off easily.

B stands and steps away. Swiper gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
B throws a series of punches but Swiper avoids them all with ease.
Swiper shoots for a takedown but B saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brewster B has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ritchie Swiper.
Swiper looks gassed!
B looks to land a right hand but Swiper moved out of range.
A big left from B misses.
B throws a nice looking combination but Swiper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
B stuffs the takedown.
Swiper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has B pinned against the cage. B gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
B misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Swiper.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ritchie Swiper will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


B misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Swiper counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
B wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Swiper has him pressed against the cage.
B wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A short body shot lands from B as the two fighters clinch.
B is trying to break the clinch but Swiper has him pressed against the cage.

Swiper goes for a takedown in the clinch but B prevents it.
Swiper tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. B smiles and moves away.
B misses with a looping right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swiper shoots for a double leg takedown but B sprawls well. He's pushed Swiper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brewster B has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ritchie Swiper.
Swiper takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
B throws a combination that misses
and Swiper counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Brewster B is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
B tries to clinch

and Swiper counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Swiper throwing strikes but missing.
Swiper wants to control from the top but B keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
B is trying to keep Swiper in close.

Swiper postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! B is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Swiper, into his guard.

Swiper looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Swiper looking to control.

B decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Swiper, up you get!
A chopping leg kick lands by B.
A low kick from B misses

and Swiper counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
B is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Swiper is controlling him.
Swiper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as B works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
B avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
B working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swiper.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

B wriggles free and stands up.
B looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
B throws a combination that misses
and Swiper finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Swiper moves in looking to clinch but B pushes him off.

Swiper rushes B and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Swiper tries to pull guard but B holds him up against the cage and eventually Swiper drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
B lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A right hand to the body from B.

Swiper drags the fight down to the ground.
B wants to control from the top but Swiper keeps moving.
B wants to pass the guard but Swiper is keeping the position.
Swiper looking to hit a scissor sweep but B is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ritchie Swiper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

B throws a left and a right that both miss

and Swiper counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Swiper postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! B is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Swiper, into his guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
B trying to control but Swiper is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
B is pushing down on Swiper's leg trying to pass to half guard. Swiper is fighting to maintain full guard but B has managed to sneak the leg through.
Swiper is looking to get back to full guard here but B has managed to pass to side control instead.
B prevents Swiper from getting the reversal.
Swiper takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Swiper wants to control but B is having none of it.
B takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee warns Swiper that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
B connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
B fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Swiper tries to lock up and control but B gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Swiper is looking to get to half guard.
B lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by B.
Swiper is wriggling around trying to escape.
Swiper bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
B is trying to keep Swiper in close.
B wants to improve his position but instead Swiper has moved into half guard.
Swiper trying to control the action but B is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
B tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Swiper wants to advance to full mount but B doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Brewster B has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
B looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
B keeping moving, preventing Swiper from controlling successfully.
Swiper trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brewster B.
I think Swiper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
