Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby TupperIII!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke Ellington!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellington throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ellington connects with a nice looking jab.


It looks like Bobby TupperIII has been cut.
Ellington does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ellington works TupperIII's body with a nice hook.
Ellington ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ellington misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ellington looks to land a right hand but TupperIII moved out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and TupperIII counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ellington won't be happy with that.

TupperIII tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no TupperIII has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

TupperIII goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ellington has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for TupperIII but great work by Ellington.

TupperIII tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ellington wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
TupperIII manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

TupperIII working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ellington doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ellington manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ellington wants to stand but TupperIII is controlling his posture from full guard.
Ellington must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bobby TupperIII will probably get the nod.
