Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tarmo Taliaivo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lockhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lockhart, as that shot connected.

Taliaivo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lockhart swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Taliaivo.
Lockhart catches Taliaivo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lockhart enables Taliaivo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lockhart manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Taliaivo stands and throws Lockhart's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lockhart is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Taliaivo asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Taliaivo tries to score with some ground and pound. Lockhart controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Taliaivo postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Lockhart badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Taliaivo around the waist but Taliaivo pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Taliaivo is the winner by TKO! Taliaivo jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
