Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Jacobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Justin Jacobi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jon Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobi avoids the head kick by Hunter.
Horrible takedown by Jacobi or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad.
A combination from Jacobi does no damage.

Hunter clinches up with Jacobi and pushes him back against the cage.
Jacobi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jacobi breaks from the clinch.
Hunter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jacobi shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl out of it but Jacobi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacobi misses with a head kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Hunter as he connects with a hook.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jacobi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jacobi doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunter circles away.

Hunter slaps away a takedown attempt from Jacobi, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Hunter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jacobi is fending him off so far but Hunter persists. Nope, Jacobi circles away and we're back to standing.
Hunter leaves Jacobi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hunter tries to pull guard but Jacobi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Jacobi has Hunter pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jacobi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hunter tumbling to the mat - Jacobi dives into Hunter's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jacobi wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jacobi won't allow Hunter to sweep him here.

Hunter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jacobi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacobi stops Hunter from standing up.
Hunter looks winded!
Hunter controls Jacobi momentarily but Jacobi frees himself.
Jacobi trying to control but Hunter is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Justin Jacobi just wasn't active enough.
Hunter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jacobi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hunter defends it nicely.
Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hunter moves into range and clinches up with Jacobi.

Jacobi manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Jacobi. No joy for Hunter on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Justin Jacobi will probably get the nod.

Hunter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jacobi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jacobi has Hunter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hunter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hunter digs a good hook to Jacobi's body.
Hunter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jacobi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hunter but Hunter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jon Hunter will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Jacobi stuffs the takedown attempt from Hunter. Hunter gets slowly back to his feet.
Hunter fails with a takedown attempt.

Jacobi tries to clinch but Hunter is having none of it.

Justin Jacobi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Hunter.
Jacobi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hunter as he jumps to the side.
Hunter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hunter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hunter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jacobi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jacobi clinches up with Hunter and pushes him back against the cage.
Jacobi tries to score a body lock takedown but Hunter shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jacobi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jacobi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there.

Jacobi keeping moving, preventing Hunter from controlling successfully.

Hunter stands and steps away. Jacobi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hunter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jacobi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jacobi looking to sit in guard and control but Hunter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jacobi thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Hunter tries to free his leg and advance position but Jacobi is retaining full guard.
Jacobi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hunter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jacobi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jacobi has escaped and now he's on top!

Hunter pulls Jacobi in close to prevent any damage.

Hunter wants to sweep here but Jacobi controlling him for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jacobi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hunter is proving hard to escape from.

Justin Jacobi showed his dominance in that final round.
