Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Koopa Troopa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Backscratcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troopa comes into the arena with Koopa Troopa blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backscratcher connects with the punch.

It looks like Koopa Troopa has been cut.
A jab from Troopa misses.
Troopa throws a nice inside leg kick.
Koopa Troopa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Troopa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Backscratcher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Troopa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Backscratcher has time to react.
Backscratcher takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Backscratcher is striking well from the back but Troopa escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
