Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Gustafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saul I Saullas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saullas has chosen Conjure One - Pandora as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gustafsson has Saullas up against the cage in a clinch.
Saullas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Saullas tries to break free but Gustafsson pushes him back against the cage.
Gustafsson can't get the takedown.

Saullas is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Gustafsson jumps guard and drags Saullas to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Saullas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gustafsson sprawls well. Gustafsson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saullas gets slowly back to his feet.

Gustafsson tries to free his leg and advance position but Saullas is retaining full guard.
Gustafsson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gustafsson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gustafsson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Saullas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gustafsson has Saullas in his guard.

Saullas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Saullas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Saullas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gustafsson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Saullas, up you get!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
