The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King closes the distance and clinches.
Mendes gets underhooks to prevent King's takedown attempt.
King has Mendes pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. King pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mendes tumbling to the mat - King dives into Mendes's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mendes has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. King doesn't defend quickly enough and Mendes has managed to lock this one up! Can King escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mendes on a fantastic submission victory.
