The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franko swinging wildly here.
A punch combination from Franko misses.
Franko throws a series of punches but Dicks moves out of range.
No joy there for Franko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Franko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dicks circles away quickly and effectively.
Franko looks to land a combination but Dicks avoids it well.

Dicks slips a straight right by Franko.
Dicks has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Franko looks winded!
Dicks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Franko throws a good cross that connects.
Franko throws a right hand that Dicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Dicks also avoids with ease.
James Franko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Franko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Franko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dicks counters with a shoot takedown. Franko fights it but they end up in guard.
Dicks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Dicks tries for a kimura but Franko is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dicks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dicks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dicks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dicks tries for a kimura but Franko is defending well.
Dicks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Franko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dicks has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Franko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dicks yanks on the arm and Franko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dicks.
