The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lawless scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Law is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lawless asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Law wants to control but Lawless postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lawless trying to control the action but Law is working from the bottom.
Law can't do much from the bottom here.
Lawless creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Law sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Law wants to control but Lawless postures up.

Lawless decides to stand up, so the ref orders Law to his feet.

Lawless closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Law to the mat! Law manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lawless trying to control the position from guard on top but Law is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Law working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lawless doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Law is tightening it up a little... Lawless has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lawless reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lawless taps out! Nice BJJ there by Law!
