Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Draiman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshito Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Draiman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshito Silva!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draiman tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily
and Silva counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Draiman closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Draiman pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Silva looks to land a combination. Draiman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Draiman looking to score a takedown here. Silva is defending well but Draiman drives through and ends up in Silva's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Draiman wants to stand but Silva is controlling his posture from full guard.
Draiman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Draiman wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Draiman forces his way into half guard.
Draiman is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Silva avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Draiman.
Draiman is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.

We're going to have a standup here because Carl Draiman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Draiman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Silva wants to sweep here but Draiman controlling him for the moment.
Draiman trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Draiman throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Draiman won't allow Silva to sweep him here.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Draiman from controlling successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Draiman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Carl Draiman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Draiman closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Draiman pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Draiman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Draiman shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Draiman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carl Draiman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Draiman throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.

Draiman feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Draiman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Draiman wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Draiman controls the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We're going to have a standup here because Carl Draiman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Draiman shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
Draiman has a closed guard, preventing Silva from standing up.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Draiman is keeping the position.

Silva is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Draiman has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Silva is looking to defend but Draiman has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Silva! Draiman pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Silva taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Carl Draiman!
