The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King.
Pie throws a combination. King tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Gavin King has been cut.
King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pie.
Pie stuffs the takedown.

King tries to clinch there but Pie circles away.
King slips a jab and a cross from Pie.

King throws a front kick that sends Pie stumbling back into the cage.

King moves in looking to clinch but Pie pushes him off.
Pie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pie is breathing heavily.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

King shoots for a double leg takedown but Pie sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Paul Pie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin King.
King lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Paul Pie has been cut.
King wants to clinch.
King shoots for a takedown but Pie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and King counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pie is lucky that one didn't land flush.

King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pie as he avoids it easily.

and King counters with a good low kick that Pie was not able to check.
King thuds his right hand into Pie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from King.
King looks to land a combination but Pie avoids it well.

Pie throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely.
Pie fails to land with a series of punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from King.
Some wild striking there from Pie.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pie sprawls well. Pie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
Pie tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pie's waist but Pie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Oooooh!!! Pie has knocked King down with a huge combo! Pie steps away and waves a wobbly King back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

King is rocked!
Pie fails to land with a series of punches.

Pie fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks King square on the jaw! Damn, King is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
