Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Lex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul stuffs the takedown.
Lex fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lex looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vinnie Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Lex.
Paul closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lex wants to control but Paul postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
