The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice takedown defense from Austin. No joy for Silva on that attempt.
Austin stuffs the takedown.
James Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Austin sends Silva crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Austin is motioning to the referee to let Silva up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Silva is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Austin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Austin turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.

Austin stalks Silva and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silva's face. Silva staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Austin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
