Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Noguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirk Walker!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker fails to land with a series of punches.
Noguera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Noguera tries to clinch

and Walker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Walker.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Walker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like Walker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Noguera knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kirk Walker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Noguera ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Noguera misses with a series of wild punches.
Walker misses with a two punch combination.

Walker gets a clinch.
Noguera misses with a body punch.

Walker breaks the clinch.
Noguera misses with a double jab.
Noguera wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.
Noguera keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Noguera swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Walker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Noguera to the mat! Noguera manages to get full guard.
Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Walker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Noguera is breathing heavily.
Walker engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kirk Walker was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Noguera is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee asks Walker politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Walker prefers to stall for the moment though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Noguera is working to avoid the ground and pound but Walker connects with a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Walker has closed the distance and engaged Noguera in a clinch.
Noguera misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Walker prevents a body shot from Noguera.

Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Noguera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Walker clinches.
Noguera tries to work over Walker's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Walker is working for takedown but Noguera is calmly controlling the position for now.
Noguera misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Noguera goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Noguera misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Walker lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Walker is controlling the pace.

Noguera on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Walker drops an elbow to the side of Noguera's head.
Walker content to control rather than advance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Noguera with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, if Walker is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Let's hope that Walker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kirk Walker has got the better of the ground game so far.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Noguera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kirk Walker wasn't active enough on the ground.

Walker cracks Noguera with a big right hand but Noguera just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Noguera takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walker controls the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker landing a few strikes.
Walker remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirk Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Noguera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Noguera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Noguera takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Walker looks up at the clock and then as Noguera takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Walker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Noguera is being controlled here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Noguera takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Walker lands some shots froms side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A lull in the action here as Walker stalls from top position.
Kirk Walker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Walker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
