Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Roads (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuai Lai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lai's choice of entrance music: CKY - Chinese Rap. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lai wants to clinch up but Roads keeps it at a distance.
Roads scores with a body shot.
Lai throws a head kick but Roads moves out of range.
Lai scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Lai throws a series of punches but Roads avoids them all with ease.

Lai clinches up against the cage.
Roads takes a knee right on the jaw!
Roads manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lai connects with a knee to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Roads is trying to push Lai away but Lai has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

With the fighters up against the cage, Lai throws an elbow but misses.

Roads breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lai cracks Roads with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Roads comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Roads moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Kuai Lai has been cut.
Roads scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Roads keeps the fight on the outside.
Lai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lai fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roads cracks Lai with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Roads scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Lai takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lai looks to land a body kick but Roads moved away.
Lai throws a leg kick which misses Roads's front leg but catches the back leg as Roads tries to avoid it.
Lai is looking to clinch but Roads is avoiding it.
Roads uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lai has time to react.

Lai is rocked!
Lai thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Roads if he has to take too many more of those.
Lai swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Roads counters with a big right hand! Oh Lai is in trouble here! Roads follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
