Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Sharkhausen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Panos!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Panos is defended easily by Sharkhausen.

Panos has closed the distance and engaged Sharkhausen in a clinch.

Sharkhausen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sharkhausen forces Panos back against the cage and clinches.

Panos manages to break the clinch.
Max Sharkhausen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Panos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Panos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sharkhausen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Panos tries for a takedown but Sharkhausen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Panos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sharkhausen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sharkhausen has managed to clinch.
Sharkhausen takes an elbow to the temple.
Sharkhausen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Panoss head.
Sharkhausen tries to stall but Panos uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Sharkhausen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sharkhausen scoring well with a low kick there.
Max Sharkhausen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Panos walks into a left hand.


It looks like Liam Panos has been cut.
Panos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sharkhausen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Panos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sharkhausen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sharkhausen cracks Panos with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Panos looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sharkhausen finish him?


Panos is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sharkhausen ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Panos's jaw. Panos's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Sharkhausen does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Max Sharkhausen!
A relieved looking Max Sharkhausen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
