Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcelo Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barboza misses with the combination.
Marcelo Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barboza throws a shot from downtown. Ribeiro moves away and avoids it.
Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barboza sprawls well. Barboza wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ribeiro gets slowly back to his feet.

Ribeiro shoots in looking for a takedown but Barboza manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ribeiro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ribeiro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Barboza was covering up waiting for the punch and Ribeiro finishes the takedown easily into guard.

It looks like Marcelo Ribeiro has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ribeiro sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Oh but Ribeiro is tightening it up a little... Barboza has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Barboza reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Barboza taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ribeiro!
