Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kreese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason's entrance music is Slayer-Dead Skin Mask. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Kreese!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like John Kreese has been cut.
Kreese is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mason.
Kreese shoots in looking for a takedown. Mason tries to sprawl out of it but Kreese keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mason manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kreese fails to land the takedown.

A jab-cross combination lands for Mason and sends Kreese crashing to the mat! Mason follows him down to the mat - Kreese regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Mason is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kreese doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mason.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mason lands a nice short elbow.

Kreese has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mason looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kreese is one step ahead there.

Kreese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mason swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mason bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kreese's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kreese is trying desperately to land a takedown but Mason is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kreese.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Mason.

Mason has control of Kreese's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kreese regains control of the situation pretty easily.
